A Highly Customised 10-Day Osaka & Koyasan Premium Journey with Seamless Support

The travel itinerary was arranged by Yu from Japan Navi Co., Ltd. for a 10-day hiking trip from May 29 to June 8, 2026. The trip commenced from Koyasan (temple lodging), visiting Danjo Garan, Kongobuji Temple, Okunoin, and Daimon Gate, and hiking the Nyonindo Route. I enjoyed the train ride from Koyasan to Shirahama, where I explored Katsuura Town and visited Nachi Waterfall. During the trip, a typhoon warning was issued, and the planned cruise was unfortunately cancelled. However, the guide, driver, and Yu closely monitored the weather to ensure my safety, responding quickly and proposing the best alternative options at every step. Thanks to their efforts, I didn’t waste a single moment of my itinerary and was able to visit Kumano Hayatama Taisha and Kumano Hongu Taisha instead. Despite the sudden changes caused by the weather, their attentive care and flexibility allowed me to continue my journey with complete peace of mind. I also really enjoyed taking a relaxing break at a local shop selling matcha tea and mochi.I returned to Osaka via train and subway on June 4. It was a pleasant and relaxing express train ride with beautiful mountains, seashores, and stone structures along the journey. In Osaka, I went to the Cup Noodles Museum and Katsuoji Temple, appreciated a tea ceremony, and visited the magnificent Osaka Castle.

The entire travel itinerary was well-planned with detailed instructions from the tour guides accompanying me, express train routes/tickets purchased, reserved hotel accommodations, as well as a private hired car to ferry me to the tourist attractions on the first day at Koyasan, Nachi-Katsuura town, and the airport. Yu was very patient in planning and securing the hotels and tour guides for my trip. I was delighted and truly enjoyed the hiking and sightseeing experience. This was my second trip to Japan, and I had a wonderful time hiking and taking train/subway rides to my destinations. The train and subway system was easy to follow and use, with helpful staff at the stations.

Best: The friendly tour guides, helpful station staff, and wonderful, reasonably priced good food and beverages. I was well-fed with udon, ramen, pancakes, sake, etc., and enjoyed many shopping outlets at Namba and Shinsaibashi stations.

Negatives: No

Comments: It was the first time I engaged a foreign tour company to plan my trip to Japan. Although there was initial difficulty in securing lodging at the temples in Koyasan, the trip itinerary was well-planned and executed. I only discussed the areas I wished to travel to around Osaka, and Yu tried her best to meet my budget and include the places I wished to visit.
