Easily accessible by express train from Tokyo or Nagoya, or via flights into Matsumoto Airport, this journey begins in the historical city of Matsumoto.

Upon arriving at Matsumoto Station (or Airport), take a private car to Matsumoto Castle, a national treasure affectionately known as the “Crow Castle.” You may explore its historic grounds while taking in breathtaking views of the Northern Alps.

Then, stroll through the charming Nakamachi Street, where traditional crafts and local delicacies await.

In the afternoon, check in at Tobira Onsen Myojinkan, nestled at an altitude of 1,050 meters. You may unwind in serene hot springs surrounded by nature and indulge in a kaiseki dinner featuring seasonal ingredients from the Nagano region.

Delve into the rich history and serene beauty of Lake Suwa. In the morning, transfer by private vehicle to the lakeside and ride electric-assisted bicycles while taking in breathtaking views of the Yatsugatake Mountains.Pause for a soothing footbath by the lake, then explore all four shrines of Suwa Taisha– one of Japan’s oldest and most revered Shinto shrines, where the mystical energy of the region can be deeply felt. In the evening, a special experience awaits you.

You can enjoy tasting the renowned sake of Shinshu at a historic brewery and witness the craftsmanship of the toji (master brewer). Tour the five breweries of Suwa and enjoy a sake tasting at a traditional establishment. Learn about the dedication and skill behind each brew while savouring the rich, nuanced flavours of Japanese sake. In the afternoon, travel to Ina and unwind at a tranquil hot spring ryokan.

We suggest joining local farmers for a hands-on experience in immersing yourself in the rural charm of Southern Nagano by harvesting seasonal vegetables alongside local farmers. Then, prepare traditional Shinshu dishes using your fresh harvest. In the afternoon, ride a gondola to a scenic plateau at 1,780 meters, where you can enjoy afternoon tea and forest bathing with breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the Yatsugatake Mountains. End the day with a relaxing overnight stay at Hirugami Onsen.

In the afternoon, head to Achi Village for a stargazing tour, where you can experience Japan’s most breathtaking starry sky. The shimmering stars create a surreal atmosphere, offering a truly unique experience. In the evening, unwind at Hirugami Onsen, indulge in the skin-beautifying hot springs, and savour a meal made with local ingredients that refresh both body and mind.

You may explore the rich history and culture of Kiso as we explore the historic post town of Kiso-Fukushima. Immerse yourself in the area’s heritage, including a hands-on traditional craft experience.

On the final day, head to Komagane and take the ropeway to Senjojiki Cirque to enjoy the scenic views. Relax over lunch and café time at a mountain resort surrounded by alpine plants. Afterward, transfer to Matsumoto Station(Airport) by private car to conclude the tour.
